Broodmares
Hidden Gully Farms includes a herd of quality broodmares, ranging from Warmblood, Thoroughbred, and Warmblood crosses. The broodmare band is constantly changing as we refine and expand our bloodlines through the purchase and/or lease of some wonderful mares. Here are the mares that currently make up Hidden Gully Farm's broodmare band.
SARA

Sara is a registered Canadian Sport Horse by Sergeij (Hanoverian) and out of Sophia (Trakehner/Thoroughbred). Sara was due to start her career as an 'A' Circuit Hunter before being retired due to an unfortunate injury.
Since joining the broodmare band, Sara has produced offspring who show great promise for the jumper or dressage ring and have fabulous willing attitudes. Sara is in foal to Poco Gato for 2010.

SENDERIX

Senderix is our largest broodmare mare standing just over 17hh. A registered Canadian Sport Horse and is by Sergeij (Hanoverian) and out of Sophia (Trakehner/Thoroughbred).
Sendrix throws beautiful foals that are large with lots of movement and jumping ability. She will be bred to Peugeot HPF for 2010.

SARI SILK

Sari is by Naevus and out of Crimson Orchid. A beautiful liver chestnut Thoroughbred with perfect hunter conformation, Sari tends to stamp her foals with lovely heads and hack winning movement. Her foals by both Thorougbred and Warmblood stallions have shown textbook hunter form and her oldest offspring have begun showing successfully in the hunter ring.

DAKOTA

Dakota is a registered Canadian Sport Horse by Sergeij (Hanoverian) and out of Desiree (Trakehner/Thoroughbred). Dakota has huge movement with lots of action, and being of a thicker build has conformation meant for the jumper ring. She throws very classy foals that would make great line horses, and they are sure to be found winning in the competition ring.

Ashley

Ashley is by Sergeij (Hanoverian) and out of Angel (Thoroughbred), a broodmare who has produced some lovely foals for us. Ashley has a great mind and loves to be pampered and admired, a trait she passes down to all her foals. She produces substantial foals that look to be suited to the hunter ring.

GRACEFUL CHARM

Piper is a double registered warmblood mare, being approved with both the Canadian Sport Horse Association and the Canadian Warmblood Breeders Association. Her bloodlines include such well known stallions as Carino and Evensong. Though on the smaller side this mare has an exceptional trot and the movement of a much larger horse. Her offspring, though petite, posess the same powerful movement as their dam. Piper is in foal to Poco Gato for 2010.

ABBY ROAD

Abby is a Thoroughbred/Percheron cross who throws nice all round babies. Thus far when crossed to a refining warmblood stallion she has produced foals with a medium mass and great movement.

DOUBLE DELIGHT
Double Delight is an elite mare by Diamont. Diamont has spent many years at the top of the USDF dressage breeding, ranking 1st in 1993 and 1994, and ranking 2nd in 1995. He has sired multiple approved breeding stallions, including Donnerkeil, Deutschmeister, and Daric along with multiple Elite Hanoverian mares and many Premium foals (Oldenburg). He has won the Osierlea Breeder's Futurity Perpetual Trophy for “Most Successful Sire of the Year” ten times. His offspring Double Delight, Dumont and Damietta won the yearling, two-year-old, and three-year-old Golden State (Cumulative Year-end Breed Show) Champion Awards in 1995. Diamont is a representative of the Hanoverian ”D” line through the recognized dressage sire, Duerkheim. Double Delight was imported to the United States to persue a dressage career until a pasture injury halted her elite showing career.

LANDIS
Landis is a 2005 mare out of Diamont (Hano/Trakhener) out of Lana (Hano/Holsteiner). Landis has been shown extensively on the line with consisten placings, and has been trained under saddle until an injury postponed her showing career, although she has an lovely calm attitude and willingness to learn and work. Due to her injury, Landis has been a broodmare producing a very nice filly out of Peugeot who was also shown on the line and will be shown as well during 2010.

CATRINA
FIRESIDE
AKA Maisie, Fireside is a 1994, 15.3h ATA Trakehner mare by Target out of Danuta. Fireside has textbook form over a fence with a great bascule and knees to her nose, including movement worthy of top ribbons. Fireside has won numerous ribbons over fences and in the hack as an "A" Circuit Children's hunter. She has started a new career as a broodmare, producing an adorable miniature of herself.
